During the first semester of the year, Ocyan concludes the certification process of its Quality Management System (ISO 9001). At the same time, two of the companies in the Group, GPI and GIO, obtain the FSC and PEFC chain of custody certification.
Two more business units join the three existing companies in the Ocyan Group over the course of this year: Wavenology, which provides development solutions to the whole area of POS, structural pieces and space decoration; and RMG-Direct, a company with a strong market penetration by that time, which adds services like direct marketing finishing, handling and promotional logistics.
On 28th January the Group GPI/Prodigit/GIO discloses their new brand to the market. That is the day Ocyan is born. Printing Waves of Innovation is the wish to keep inventing the future, which makes this Group a reference in the Portuguese graphic industry.
Once the digital printing project is consolidated, the Group starts to offer another printing technology in its portfolio – offset – creating a new business unit, GIO.
In September, the relocation to a new space in Carnaxide takes place. Taking advantage of this change, a new corporative image is created, associated to the sentence ‘We give colour to your ideas’.
GPI’s tenth anniversary is celebrated. This year, in the face of the growth and vitality that GPI and Prodigit have sustainably kept, a priority is set: moving to new premises.
GPI invests in digital offset. Both companies start providing together a full service of prepressand digital printing.
A new project is kicked off: digital printing. A new company, Prodigit, is created with expertise to produce all types of work in medium and large formats. Because of such growth, new premises are acquired in Queluz de Baixo.
GPI is born in Miraflores, positioned in the market as a service providing company in the area of prepress.
